Phoenix Contact: CONTACTRON 4-in-1 solid state contactors. Contactron high power solid state relays are the newest generation of Phoenix Contact electronic load relays (ELRs). Unlike mechanical switching devices, solid state contactors do not contain moving parts. Compared to mechanical contactors, a solid state design has a much longer switching life, which improves machine reliability.
